Our Mission
Nechama and Hatzala for Israel was established to assist distressed populations and promote a just and better society. We work to foster a culture of help and cooperation among people and organizations, encouraging the community to be part of the aid and support process.
With your donations, we can continue our mission with dignity and pride. Together, we will continue to advance the values of humanity and contribution to Israel, in times of peace and turmoil.
Key Areas of Activity
Supporting Soldiers
We provide essential equipment like helmets and vests, basic supplies, and mental and social support to soldiers at every stage of their service to help them face the challenges and succeed.
Assisting Holocaust Survivors
We offer medical and physical support, social and psychological help, basic necessities, and a sense of security to ensure a significant improvement in their quality of life.
Supporting Evacuated Families
We aim to provide a sense of home and support to families evacuated from combat zones through shelters in Givatayim, packages, and deliveries, offering educational, emotional, and physical support, food, basic supplies, and tools to cope with the changing and challenging war times.
Medical Assistance
Nechama and Hatzala for Israel operates ambulances for life-saving purposes and as a wish ambulance, allowing terminally ill patients or Holocaust survivors to attend events or medical appointments. We also lend medical equipment such as crutches and wheelchairs.

The Story Behind the Organization
Nechama and Hatzala for Israel was established in 2020 to commemorate Mrs. Nechama (Naomi) Moskowitz Halperin. Born to Holocaust survivors from the Munkacs community, she moved to Israel at 18 and studied social work at Bar-Ilan University. She dedicated her life to helping everyone in need, working as a social worker in Israel, with her door always open regardless of background. The non-profit organization was founded by experienced pre-hospital medical responders to provide voluntary aid to those in need.
