As a severe heatwave sweeps across the country with temperatures soaring above 40°C (104°F), the volunteers of Nechama and Hatzalah Israel have become the official refreshers of the summer. They head out to the field, right to the front lines, to bring some relief to our brave and dedicated soldiers—delivering ice cream, popsicles, cold water, and other refreshing surprises. These gestures offer the fighters a much-needed moment of comfort and refreshment in the midst of grueling missions under unbearable heat in the battlefield.
