The first operational shift of the life-saving ambulance dedicated to the memory of Itzik (Yitzhak) Buzukashvili, known to many as “Bazooka,” marked a powerful moment where remembrance became action.
From its very first call, the ambulance carried more than medical equipment—it carried a legacy. A legacy of responsibility, courage, and unwavering commitment to human life. Just as Itzik lived his life in service to others, the ambulance bearing his name entered the field with a single purpose: to save lives.
During its first shift, the medical team responded swiftly and professionally, providing emergency care exactly where it was needed most. Each response served as a living tribute to a commander who believed in leadership through action and in being there when it mattered most.
On October 7, Itzik went out to defend the citizens of Israel, driven by the same values that defined his career. Today, those values continue on the ground—sirens replacing silence, action replacing loss.
This ambulance stands as a reminder that memory is strongest when it saves lives. Thanks to the generosity of donors and partners, Itzik’s name will continue to be called—not in mourning, but in moments of rescue and hope.
Together, we turn legacy into life-saving action.
